I worked on Grounders as a Game Designer and Programmer.

Grounders is a multiplayer arcade game made in Unity for PC over the course of a weekend

Grounders was created as part of the Vancouver 48 hour GameJam Hat Jam 11. Within a two person team, we were assigned the playground game Grounders as the theme. 

Players control two business men being hunted down by a giant vulture after becoming lost in the desert. Only one player can survive being made bird food, so players can sabotage each others efforts to avoid its clutches.

I acted as the game's designer and programmer.

Within the limitations of the short timeframe to create the game, I sought out to create an engaging multiplayer arcade like experience that pits Player vs Player in indirect competition. Players aren't trying to kill each other directly, but rather sabotage each other's efforts to survive against a AI controlled Vulture enemy that would kill them upon contact.

To accomplish this, I designed and implemented the behaviour of menacing Vulture so that it would randomly destroy sections of the playing field throughout its attacks, escalating tension as the match progresses.
